Job Description

Adams & Martin Group is partnering with a respected law firm in Irvine to identify an experienced Litigation Legal Secretary for its labor and employment practice. This is a full-time, onsite role supporting multiple attorneys in a fast-paced litigation environment.

Position Overview

The Litigation Legal Secretary will provide comprehensive administrative and litigation support, assisting attorneys with case management, filings, calendaring, and document preparation. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable managing multiple priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and organize electronic case files
  • Prepare, revise, and proofread pleadings, correspondence, discovery, and litigation documents
  • Assist with state, federal, and agency filings, including exhibits
  • Manage attorney calendars and track deadlines
  • Prepare expense reports and assist with client invoicing
  • Coordinate travel arrangements and scheduling
  • Assist with conflict checks, new matter intake, and litigation notebooks
  • Support trial preparation and other administrative needs as assigned

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of legal experience, preferably in labor and employment law
  • Experience with ECF and California state e-filing systems
  • Proficiency with document management systems (e.g., NetDocuments or similar)
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Word and Outlook
  • Familiarity with state and federal court rules and procedures
  • Experience supporting multiple attorneys simultaneously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a team environment
  • Associate or bachelor's degree preferred (or equivalent experience)
